Two Mice in a Boat is the thirteenth episode of series 1 of Angelina Ballerina. This episode is halfway through the first season of the TV series, as there are thirteen episodes to go before the end of the first season.
Summary[]
It is time for the town's annual boat carnival and when Angelina and Sammy are made partners, they will have to learn to work together.
Synopsis[]
One night, Angelina is practicing her acceptance speech when she and Alice win first prize at the boat carnival. Angelina is eager they will win especially since her father won first prize four times himself. Angelina has an idea for the boat they will present, a beautiful swan princess boat, although Mrs. Mouseling does tell Angelina they may not be put together.
The next morning the teams are announced: the Pinkpaws twins are put together, Angelina however is partnered with Sammy Watts and Alice is partnered with Henry. Both Angelina and Sammy want to change partners but they are not allowed to, the children are told that working together and having fun is the main point of this event. While waiting for their boats, Angelina and Sammy are both disagreeing on the design, Angelina still wants to do a swan princess boat but Sammy wants to do a pirate ship. When Angelina sees the drawing he made, she is angry that she has an eye patch and a peg leg, and she crumbles it and throws it at Sammy in frustration. Priscilla and Penelope suggest Angelina to get a chair leg, but Angelina and Sammy take no notice of the twins. When they receive their boat, they agree that they must work side by side but not together like they are supposed to. Angelina paints the boat in half to fit both of their themes in one boat. Angelina works on her princess theme, while Sammy gets parts for his pirate ship. While Alice and Henry have decided on a candy-themed boat.
After putting all their items in the boat, the result is more cluttered than equal, Angelina points out the cannon is too heavy but Sammy says the swan's head is too big. Regardless, Angelina and Sammy agree to try it out on the stream before the carnival tomorrow. Miraculously, the boat floats beautifully, seconds later Mr. Ratchett asks what kind of boat that is, and he hears Pirate Princess. When they take it for a practice sail, the boat is starting to sink slowly. They try to lighten the load, but they end up throwing everything off the boat, and to make matters worse they are floating downstream and they threw the oars out. Meanwhile, everyone is arriving for the carnival as the contestants are bringing their boats and putting the last touches. Angelina and Sammy are floating far downstream. They both notice a nearby stump and try to grab some vines to grab the stump. They manage to hook the vines around the stump and get to shore in time. Mr. Ratchett comes by and notices that their pirate princess is not the same as it was the first time. Hearing that name, Sammy and Angelina both have an idea for their boat.
Meanwhile, the carnival is about to start, with many beautiful boats already there. Mrs. Mouseling wonders where Angelina is, Mr. Mouseling assures her that Angelina will come as she always likes to make an entrance. Sure enough, Angelina and Sammy arrive in their pirate princess boat and are lowered into the water. When they hit the water, they soak the twin's boat who are wet and disappointed. Nonetheless, Angelina and Sammy are glad that they were able to work together. In the end, Alice and Henry win first prize for their design, but Angelina and Sammy do win the Best Teamwork prize. Mr. Mouseling is proud of her, even though she didn't win, she kept up a much better tradition. As it turns out Mr. Mouseling's partner was Sammy's dad who says that while they did always win, they wouldn't have taken home the teamwork prize due to their fighting. Angelina and Sammy cannot seem to decide now who should take home the trophy.
