The Costume Ball is the 2nd half of the fourteenth episode of series 1.
Summary[]
Angelina wants to go to the costume ball but her parents won't allow it as the costume ball was for grownups only, not little mouselings.
Plot[]
Mrs. Mouseling is putting up the laundry and Angelina is helping, she is begging her mother to let her go to a costume ball tonight as she knows everyone there, is a great dancer, and has grown a lot in the last year. Sadly though no matter what she says, Mrs. Mouseling tells her again and again that she cannot go as the costume ball is for grownups only, not little mouselings. Angelina throws down the laundry basket in frustration and runs into the house shouting that it's not fair. Mrs. Mouseling suggests she could invite Alice over to spend the night to make up for it but Angelina slams the door and her mother shakes her head.
While up in her room, Angelina says that she should be allowed to go as she is old enough and can dance better than everyone put together. Alice, who has come over to spend the night, finds a coat and a hat that is too big on her, which Angelina tries to get off and causes the girls to laugh. Mrs. Mouseling calls the girls from downstairs, she says that Mrs. Hodgepodge will be arriving soon, much to the girls' despair. Downstairs Angelina and Alice ask her mother, who is dressed as a queen, to not have Mrs. Hodgepodge watch them as her snoring kept them up all night and she always brings them lettuce jelly to eat which they both hate. Mr. Mouseling comes downstairs and asks to have the antennas on his bee costume fixed. Soon enough Mrs Hodgepodge arrives and has brought cabbage jelly. Later on after their sitter has fallen asleep, Angelina and Alice make an escape and go to the ball. They make it and disguise themselves with a sheet, no one suspects them. Alice wants to get some food but Angelina really wants to dance. Eventually they are caught and this makes Angelina cry, as punishment the two friends have to help clean up.

- When the adults find out that Alice and Angelina were at the party all along, Angelina's crying from "Angelina in the Wings" was recycled.
