PBS (or The Public Broadcasting Service) is an American public broadcaster and television program distributor made up of more than 350-member television stations. PBS is an independently operated non-profit organization, headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, US.
PBS is funded by member station dues, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, corporate contributions, National Datacast, pledge drives, private foundations, and individual citizens. All proposed funding for programming is subject to a set of standards to ensure the program is free of influence from the funding source.
Angelina Ballerina and Angelina Ballerina: The Next Steps both aired under their PBS Kids Banner from 2002 to 2015.
PBS is one of the co-owners of PBS Kids Sprout along with Comcast, HIT Entertainment, and Sesame Workshop.
