Mrs. Hodgepodge is Angelina's next-door neighbor. She wears a blue ribboned hat and shawl and has a reputation for being very grumpy. She does not generally get on well with Mouselings. She has a great passion for gardening and cooking (although her cabbage jelly is left much desired). Despite her grumpiness, she is sensible and has good suggestions for solving problems. She made her debut in the 1983 book Angelina Ballerina which is the first book in the book series of the same name. In the TV series, she speaks with a West Country accent, and first appeared in the episode Arthur the Butterfly.
