Arthur the Butterfly is an episode of Angelina Ballerina.
Summary[]
While at a picnic with her ballet class, Angelina finds a butterfly whom she names Arthur and takes it home. One day, Henry accidentally lets it loose so Angelina and her friends chase after Arthur, unfortunately, they fall down a hole. They are all very scared and cold as it gets dark, but thankfully Arthur brought the parents to the hole and Angelina is grateful.
Synopsis[]
At a picnic, William pretends to be a king with his napkin-shaped hat named Arthur until he loses it. Angelina runs to get it until she spots a hurt butterfly whom she calls Arthur. Everyone comes to look at him, including Henry, who wanted to hold him, even though Angelina refuses.
Back at home, Maurice finds a jar for Angelina to put Arthur in until he gets better. Henry wanted to put him in the jar, but Angelina says no since he might break his one of his other legs. He even tries to put air holes for Arthur to breathe, but he couldn't do it either. After putting holes for Arthur to breathe, Alice reads a book that says that butterflies can eat flowers and nectars, which are a kind of sugary juice. Henry wanted to give Arthur his lollypop, but Angelina thought he was being silly because of this.
Angelina brings Arthur to her bedroom but refuses to let Henry hold Arthur and finds some supplies for Arthur like his pillow and swing. Alice also informs Angelina that Arthur needed sunshine and plenty of freedom, even a slide since his leg was getting better, but Angelina wanted to keep him in a jar because of his illness. Suddenly, Henry spots Arthur flying as his leg is all better and is ready to be released, but Angelina refuses, thinking Arthur might hurt himself again. Henry worries about Arthur thinking that he didn't like living in a jar, but Angelina says that he loved living in there. After the mouselings left Angelina's bedroom, Henry accidentally lets Arthur go by pulling his top off. This makes Angelina shocked, so she goes out looking for him.
She tries to look for Arthur, but unfortunately, he was nowhere to be found so she begins to cry. It was no use for her, but Henry states that Arthur went home to the forest. This makes Angelina stop crying as she continues looking for him. While looking for Arthur, Angelina falls down a hole and gets stuck. Henry tries to save her, but he falls in with her. He was really scared that he worries that they would be trapped in there forever without anyone rescuing them, so Angelina calms down and gives him a big hug.
That night, Maurice, Matilda, Louis, Miss Lilly, Alice, and William all set out to find Angelina and Henry. Arthur guides them to where they could be, but Alice falls down the hole with them, so the adults manage to get them back to safety.
The next day, Angelina, Alice, and Henry encounter Arthur again and Henry gets the jar, but instead Angelina releases him, deciding to let him be free and happy. They all say goodbye to Arthur as he flies off with a myriad of butterflies, ending the episode.
