Angelina Sets Sail, known as "All Dancers on Deck" in North America, is the third feature-length Angelina Ballerina special, and the third and last one in the classic series.

Synopsis[]

Miss Lilly has a wonderful surprise to take Angelina and her class to (fictional) Dacovia for Ivor Operatski's Ice Fairy Princess performance. On the five-day journey on board the Royal Stilton, Angelina sympathizes with Miss Lilly's nephew Yuri being pushed around by the captain and in his love for the captain's daughter. Angelina carries out a plan to resolve this, but only gets Yuri into trouble. When a storm comes, the ship gets wedged between two very big icebergs. To make matters worse, the Pinkpaws twins have broken the radio. The dance performance takes place on the ship instead, but Angelina eventually gets an idea that enables the ship to get back on course and gets Yuri a well-deserved appreciation from the captain. They arrive at Dacovia in time for Ivor Operatski's Ice Fairy Princess performance.

Trivia[]

  • The special was produced in 2005, according to the credits.
  • This is the only special to have profanity said by the captain, "imbecile" and "fool". "Stupid" was said by Angelina and Sammy in "Two Mice in a Boat" and in "Alice's Present" and "No Match for Angelina" by Angelina, and by William in "Sammy's Club".
  • This is the last special where Angelina cries.
  • The last Angelina Ballerina DVD to have a preview of The Wiggles before they moved to Warner Home Video, a distributor owned by Warner Bros.
  • This is the last special where Angelina is seen in just her tutu.
  • This also marks the second time that Angelina does a penché in the series after The Anniversary Party.
  • It is unknown what happened to Priscilla and Penelope after they accidentally told Miss Lilly that they broke the radio; it could have been possible that they could've been in trouble, and since they didn't have their costumes, they couldn't have performed in the ballet.
  • One song heard throughout the special is the "Pizzicato" from the Divertissement in the ballet Sylvia by Leo Delibes.
  • This is the only special to have an alternate title depending on the region (PAL and SECAM regions list it as "Angelina Sets Sail" while NTSC regions list it as "All Dancers on Deck"),
